Why & How to cook soyabean?

Hey. Most of you already know that Soybeans/chunks are a great source of protein. But it has much more nutritional value than this. Having Soybeans in your diet will be proven beneficial in many ways.

Why eat Soya chunks?

These are reasons why you should have soybeans in your diet at least twice a week:
  1. Soybeans help in relieving sleep.
  2. It has been proven beneficial in weight loss.
  3. Soy products are the best substitute for animal protein. Having 52 gm of protein per 100 gm of soya makes it the best option for fulfilling the daily requirement of protein intake.
  4. Soya chunks may help reduce many health problems such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, heart problems and prostate cancers.
  5. Soybeans may help manage diabetes and improve blood circulation.

What are the recipes for soybeans?

  1. Soya chunks masala dry
  2. Soya chunks curry
  3. Soybean Pulao
  4. Soybean Manchurian
These four are my favourites of all time. The first one has crunchiness, the second has traditional taste, who doesn't like pulao and the last is the tastiest of all.
*Soybean Manchurian is my mother's recipe if you want to know, comment.
I would suggest buying Nutrela soya chunks.
You might think that how could soya can compete with Chicken, meat, and other animal products. But guys this isn't true. People are choosing soya over chicken due to cases of animal cruelty and others rising.
Also, it is much cheaper than chicken or meat.
My favourite fitness YouTuber Saket Gokhale eats soya every day with pasta. Pasta is carbohydrates rich.

How do you cook soybeans?

Every recipe differs from others but some points which I have noticed to be the same or repeating are very crucial and common though.

  • Soak the soybeans for 10 minutes in hot water or soak them overnight.
  • Squeeze all the water out from them.
  • Fry them if you want. It will make it crispy and golden coloured.
  • Add masala in abundance so that it doesn't smell 'nicely'.

Some facts about Soya:

  • These are processed foods, unlike edamame beans.
  • It contains estrogen-like compounds known as Isoflavones.
  • Eating soy products daily isn't ideal.
  • 100 gm of soybeans contains 52 gm of protein on average.
All these are basic points. If you want to know the Soybean Manchurian recipe. Comment!
